We would like to welcome you to our annual Christmas Party play & stay! Come and enjoy gingerbread cookie decoration, hot chocolate with marshmallows and various Christmas-themed adventures!

We decorated the centre for our annual Christmas Party play & stay and had loads of fun welcoming everyone who came! The day was full of Christmas songs, mince pies, cakes, cookies and and every child received a little Christmas pressie from us!
Thanks for coming and celebrating with us! We would also like to thank every volunteer that helped to make this day as magical as it was!

Our yearly spooktacular Halloween Party has been a big success! Thank you everyone for organising it, helping out & coming along!
We hope you had fun and loved seeing you there, there were some amazing outfits this year! Check out few photos from the day - you can also see our new look! And don't forget, we have many fun events up our sleeve in the near future, just keep your eyes peeled...

We had a CHRISTMAS FAIR FUNDRAISER and it was a great success! Many little elves, reindeers and Santas came, and we ate delicious curry, drank hot chocolate with cream and sprinkles, had loads of amazing home-made cakes and children decorated a record number of cookies!
We also had stalls selling toys, books and hand made products. Our photographer was offering a Christmas photo session (similar to the one we did back in October) and we managed to raise a nice amount of money to help us to have our bathrooms refurbished.

Thank you so very much for joining us today for our Photo Fundraiser!
We loved seeing familiar and new faces, and really hope you enjoyed yourself today! Our volunteer photographer had a blast photographing every single family, and we hope you all will love your family Christmas photos!
We'd also like to thank to all the lovely moms who baked cakes, bread and brought decoration, and helped us on the day. You ladies, you rock - yes, you know who you are! We also had a dad who took upon himself to clean the gutters while there at the start of the day, you mister, you're amazing and we want to say THANK YOU!
In terms of fundraising - it was a huge success, we raised over £375 and we now have enough money to cover our BIG PAINT PROJECT (that runs from the 22nd until the 29th of October) and might be able to spend some funds on having the bathrooms decorated too!
Again, thanks so much to everyone who came, for helping us and raise money to make Burghley Road Children's Centre even better! You are amazing!

Thank you to everyone who helped organise, run and who came to our fantastic carnival party and fundraiser. There was mask making, yummy cakes, dancing, and games and best of all we managed to raise lots of money which will all go back into the centre.

Thank you to all the little bunnies for joining us for our Easter egg party, there were lots of Easter bunnies, bunny ears and Easter cards made, we played lots of games, sang songs, chased bubbles and topped it all off with a lovely egg hunting with chocolate, small furry toys and tasty animal shaped cookies.
Thank you to everyone who donated things and who helped prepare for the day, helped on the day, and who took part! Looking forward to next year!

In honour of Book Aid International, our world book day party at Burghley road raised £20.
We were joined by the Gruffalo, Bob the Builder, Cat in the Hat and The Queen of Hearts.
We had lots of bubbles and read stories about playing and feelings.
Thank you to everyone who helped to make this a wonderful day for all.
Also a special thank you to one of our regular volunteers Paul, who on the day gave out lots of free world book day token, had a fantastic Usborne bookstall and donated lots of lovely new books to Burghley Road!

We decked the halls and strung the lights all and we delighted children young and old.
We had lots of Christmas crafts, bubbles, face painting, singing and dancing and Santa delivered lots of Christmas books and a lovely christmas party bag for all.

We had a spooktacular Halloween party! We were joined by witches, wizards, cats, pumpkins, skeletons and children young and old, we had ghost bananas, cookie monsters, grape and apple spiders and a yummy Halloween cake stall. We made ghosts and bats, we had lots of monster moves when we all danced and to end we had bubbles and lots of screams (of laughter).

To celebrate our new ball pool and end of maintence week we are having a ball pool launch party. so in addition to the usual fun and games expect bubbles, cake decorating and toddler friendly live music from mr sparkles.
Fundraising update 25 June 2015
We have some great fundraising news. Burghley Road Play Space is one of Waitrose Palmer Green's charity of the month for June and for July we will be Crouch End branch charity of the month. If you shop at these shops please leave us your token. Another great news is that we are Nationwide Community Match Charity for July. Thank you for putting us forward!
May Nearly New Jumble Sale raises £200 for Burghley Road
The Nearly New Jumble Sale on Sunday 11th May raised over £200 for Burghley Road Play Space.
We thank all the volunteers who gave up their time to set up the space, baked cakes, donated goods to sell, and to the community who came and bought goods. If we have enough interest we would like to organise another sale.

New Partnerships - 2014
We have joined hands with FareShare, Capital Growth, Sanctuary Housing and the Northern Trust.
We are always working hard to form partnerships with organisations, charitable trusts and local businesses.
We are now part of FareShare, who helps us with food delivery and Capital Growth who is training our staff on building a better garden. We have successfully been granted cash to rebuild our kitchen from Sanctuary Housing and kind volunteers from the Northern Trust helped us paint our walls giving us a brand new look!
We have been awarded as a Netmums Favourite!
Play Space at Burghley Road Under 5s Community Centre has been named by Netmums as a favourite drop-in play group in our area of North London.
Well done to all of our volunteers for all your dedication and hard work and for continuing to make Burghley Road such a special place.

Our Jumble Sale was a great success!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped kick start our fundraising efforts. We raised over £200 for the centre and made a lot of new friends.
Special thanks to Kate and Renee from Filling the Gap Cafe for the delicious eats and to all the amazing ladies who donated cakes and treats. Thank you Tessa for face painting and to all our volunteers whom helped make the day happen.
